This software utility lets you to shutdown remote PCs and carry out other administrative tasks.
This is a tool to quickly schedule shutdown and restart remote PCs. This will let you to shutdown and start up network workstations. But, it is not just the shutting down and switching on of PCs on your enterprise network but a host of other administrative work that is possible with this tool. These include Reboot; Hibernate; Standby; Log off; Lock; Wakeup (Wake-on-LAN), etc. This tool will let you, in the IT department, quickly manage scheduled shutdown, restart, and wakeup a large number of a network workstations. Doing it manually over a large sprawl of enterprise building may just be impossible. Some of the other useful features include searching for computers, scanning a network in a given IP range, logging into event log, looking through the Active Directory.
One of the immediate benefits of the tool is the ability to manage your energy bills by shutting off idle machines. When going off work, people may not make it a point to switch off their machine can become a real drain on your budget. Central administrative management actions, like the software installation, patches on the enterprise machines or remote debug and so on are facilitated by this tool. The interface is quite intuitive and simple to use. No particular skill is required to use this tool, most rookie IT staff should be able to start right away on it. The tool is multi-threaded and thus will work really faster on the new fangled multi-core and multi-threaded processors. This is a very good product. If there is a need, this could be a good option for your IT department.
